Next Stage Press has reopened our Submissions to everyone!!
A few dos and don’ts.
DO NOT SUBMIT 10-MINUTE PLAYS!! (They are too short to publish alone) – The submission will be deleted.
ALSO, DON’T SUBMIT PLAYS THAT ARE UNDER 30 PAGES. (Unless they have a companion piece that can be grouped with them) – If there is no companion piece, the submission will be deleted.
DO NOT SEND AN INQUIRY ABOUT THE SUBMISSION. If you haven’t heard from us after 8 months, it is safe to assume it doesn’t fit our needs…but feel free to submit again.
DO NOT SUBMIT THE PLAY VIA EMAIL!!!

I submit a lot of my plays to theatre companies, but this was by far the quickest and easiest format to use to submit one’s work. Thank you.
So great to have a publisher that will consider plays whether or not they’ve been produced yet. Less focus on marketing (“it must have quotable reviews from productions”) and more on the quality of the scripts.
