ART OF NECESSITY

by Karin Williams

The age-old plot of King Lear unfolds in the modern wasteland of reality TV. Lea, a hoarder, wants to bequeath a vast pile of junk to her children. While Reg and Gordon vow to treasure it forever, Lea’s youngest son Cormac tells her the truth – and Lea disowns him in a fit of rage. Celebrity wannabe Ember vows she’ll do anything to beat her talented half-sister Emily in a battle for YouTube hits. After proving she’s a survivor, Lea finds herself trapped in rehab, and a fool called Chance is a lone voice of reason when Twitter wars finally draw blood.
