BLANK CANVAS: INSPIRED BY A DREAM
by Lauren Sweet

Inspired by a dream, Blank Canvas is a dark comedic sequel to the Faust legend. After retiring from Lucifer’s middleman service, Mephistopheles puts his twin boys, Strastopheles and Methos, in his old position. The two make a similar deal with struggling artist Friedrich Walzburg, but in their dealmaking, they leave out a crucial piece of information. A hundred years later, they realize their livelihood might be threatened by a young woman who shows up at Friedrich’s gallery in Los Angeles. Will the demons follow in their father’s footsteps and succeed, or will all Hell break loose for them in the art world? Combining immersive theatre and dark humor, Blank Canvas is a hilarious immersion that art and theatre nerds would appreciate.
