Because of their success, they are now given the opportunity to soar to the top of the company food chain by each pitching themselves for the vacant partnership that is now in play. The catch? About the Playwright
Michael is an award-winning director, playwright, and educator. His play, HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL, a contemporary adaptation of the1959 William Castle, recently made its New Jersey premiere with Kismet Performing Artists’ Theater. In NYC, his work both as writer and director has been seen at Off-Broadway’s THE BIGOT (Theater at St. Clements), CROSSING OVER (Theater 315), F*CK, MARRY, KILL (New York Theater Festival), as well as the Midtown International Fringe Festival, Alternative Theatre Company, Network Theatre Company, Equity Library Theatre and The New Short Play Festival (Artistic Director). Other credits include Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre, Theatre Under the Stars, Casa Mañana Cider Mill Playhouse, Theatre by the Sea, PaperMill Theatre, Westchester Broadway, Arizona Broadway, and Arkansas Repertory. Additionally, he served for twelve years as resident director of the New Bedford Festival Theatre where he helmed many large scale musicals, including their Moss Hart Award winning productions of HAIRSPRAY and LES MISERABLES. As an educator, Michael taught theatre at Chadron State College in Nebraska and Southern Arkansas University. He also teaches playwriting at ATC Studios in Clifton, NJ. Michael holds an MFA in Playwriting from Goddard College, and a BFA in Theatre from The Boston Conservatory. He is a member of the Dramatists Guild, AEA, SAG-AFTRA, and SDC.
