About the Playwright

Lynn N. Silver is a writer, actress, playwright and producer. After graduating NYU’s MFA program, she produced Off-Off Television, bringing one act plays, live, to television now being considered for the Lincoln Center Library. As an actress, she appeared in Kate and Allie, 91/2 Weeks, four episodes of Law and Order, had recurring roles on L.A.Law, (court clerk) Guiding Light, (Joanie Dibble) and Working It Out, (Jane Curtain’s secretary). Some stage credits include: Last of the Red Hot Lovers, The Chosen, Uncle Vanya, The Maids, Rules (with Olympia Dukakis), Kind Eyes, Power Plays, Hamlet and more.
As a playwright, her first play, The End of Cinderella, was produced at the legendary Westbank Downstairs started by Lewis Black. She has penned seven plays and a webisode called, Dinner With Mom on YouTube.. http:// bit.ly/2sskWnc
She was awarded playwright in residence at the William Inge Theater Festival in 2016.
She has had articles published in the New York Times and the Phoenix magazine. Her debut novel, CROSSING PATHS, was recently finished. She has also taught acting, writing and history in the New York City school system.
I was able to attend a staged reading of this piece and was thoroughly captivated throughout the performance. The play is funny, sentimental, textured, and melancholy. A great opportunity for mature actors and intimate spaces to stage.
