IT’S MY PARTY!
by Ann Timmons

It’s 1918 and It’s My Party! opens as the fight for the 19th Amendment intensifies, marked by a clash between two suffragist titans: Carrie Chapman Catt and Alice Paul. Paul’s “radicals” shock the country by protesting the White House, risking their personal safety and igniting a fierce internal struggle within the movement. Amidst this conflict, a window into racial exclusion emerges as Black suffragist Ida B. Wells-Barnett is marginalized as she tries and fails to be seen as an equal partner in this crusade. Ultimately, despite their flaws, these women reveal an unwavering drive, securing the right to vote!
