About the Playwrights

Danielle Wirsansky is an award-winning playwright whose work ranges from historically grounded drama to bold, imaginative new musicals. Her plays have been performed Off-Broadway and at festivals across the United States and abroad, including the Orlando and Atlanta Fringe Festivals, the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York City, and Ireland’s first LGBTQ+ Theatre Festival in Sligo. Her musical The Secrets We Keep premiered Off-Broadway in 2024. Danielle is the founder of White Mouse Productions and serves as the Dramatists Guild Representative for North Florida.

Shannon Wolf (b. 1998) is a composer and lyricist from Tampa, Florida, whose pieces have been described as “moving and emotionally resonant” by the Tallahassee Democrat. Moo Deng vs. Pesto: The Musical is one of four projects created in collaboration with Danielle Wirsansky. Other major works include Annexed, performed at Florida State University, and pieces for The Secrets We Keep, performed off-Broadway. In addition to composing, Shannon has music directed and performed piano for projects off-Broadway and at Florida State University. Future works will be debuted in the 2026-27 season.
