Through his twisted delusions, Leon confronts the stark disparity between political rhetoric and the harsh realities endured by American working-class men. About the Playwright
Grizzly K. Sunshine is a professor and playwright from Houston, Texas. He works at Galveston College as an Assistant Professor, where he also directs plays that have been recognized by the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. Rescuing the Rainbow premiered Off-Broadway in 2016 at the 777 Theater in New York City. A Tommy Tune Award-winning theater director, Grizzly’s past credits include Walt Disney World and the Smithsonian Institute. In addition to his other three plays with Next Stage Press, he is a published author, with an article featured in Writer’s Digest in 2020. Grizzly K. Sunshine enjoys grilled cheese, tennis, and oxymorons.
