Sweet, a dark comedy commissioned for a drama therapy initiative supporting women in addiction recovery after incarceration, was produced with support from Akeela House Recovery Center. Schatzie also wrote the TV pilot Cabin Nite for Affinity Films’ Alaska TV Pilot Project.
Schatzie brings a deep fascination with crime—its ripple effects, emotional fallout, and moral ambiguity—to much of her work, which often blends dark humor with themes of survival, complicity, and resilience.
