About the Playwright

Dubbed a “national treasure” by critics, Tom Dugan is a renowned Los Angeles – based playwright and actor with over 40 years of experience. His work has garnered numerous awards and nominations, including honors from the New York Drama Desk, New York Outer Critics Circle, Los Angeles Ovation Awards, Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle, and LA Stage Scene.
Dugan is best known for his meticulously researched historical one-person plays, which have been produced across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Israel, India, Australia, Italy, Scotland, the Caribbean, and London. His acclaimed play Wiesenthal – described as “heartbreaking and beautiful” by The New York Times – was produced Off-Broadway by Daryl Roth, featured on PBS, and is published by Next Stage Press. A feature film of Wiesenthal is set to begin production in Europe later this year.
