About the Playwright

Jeff Zimmer is a 7-time Emmy loser who has written for such shows as “Not Necessarily the News”, “Talk Soup”, “Histeria!”, “America’s Funniest Home Videos” and “The Mickey Mouse Club”. His plays include “The Golgotha Project”, “Law & Elvis” and the musical “The Bethlehem Project”.
He has been a fan of “The Maltese Falcon” since high school and has read the original Black Mask serial version, the classic 1930 novel and seen all three movie adaptations. He is delighted to be able to adapt the story of the falcon for the stage.
He is originally from Schaumburg, Illinois.
