A young American woman receives disturbing news about what her German/Jewish grandfather may have done during World War II. While uncovering the shocking facts, she learns the truth about the terrifying choices both of her grandparents made to survive. Sometimes secrets can eat you from the inside but sometimes they can save your soul.

About the Playwright
Christopher Franciosa is not only a playwright but a theater actor who has appeared in over 50
Actor’s Equity productions. In January, 2026, his play What Opa Did had its world premiere at
Theatre 40 in Beverly Hills, CA to both audience and critic’s rave reviews and is published by
Next Stage Press. He has written plays which have been performed on stages throughout the
country but mostly in New York City and Los Angeles. His short play J Date was recently
performed by the Lama Theatre Co. simultaneously in New York and Tel Aviv and his A
Blessing: The Miracle of Edith Stein was recently produced as a staged reading by the Blank
Theatre Co. in Hollywood, CA. His short play Tree Grows in Akron has just been published by
Florencia Bay Books in their Short Plays from the USA compilation and he has been a winner
and finalist in many playwriting awards such as the Heideman Award at Actor’s Theatre of
Louisville. Christopher was also a member of the prestigious Warner Bros. Writing Workshop
for Television and been a finalist in ABC/Disney Fellowship Program, the Sussex (UK) TV
Competition, and The Writersarc Screenplay Competition. His screenplay Surfmen has recently
placed in the top 10% of the Academy Nicholl Fellowship, was in competition at the Grace
International Film Festival (Berlin), was a finalist in the Independent Talents International Film
Festival, and become a semi-finalist in the Cordillera International Film Festival and the
Birmingham (England) International Film Festival. He is a Graduate of UCLA.
