Six strangers meet by chance, unaware of how much they share. As the chance meetings keep coupling them in the wrong pairs, they wonder what it is they actually deserve—and sometimes hope they aren’t already living it. Part One follows them finding each other in pairings that provide them with a sense of what they think they’re looking for. Part Two looks at why they need something they have difficulty finding. Part Three places them in their final pairings for the show, hopefully pointing them toward something that they deserve more than what they started with.

About the Playwright
David Rigano is an NYC based playwright and director. His plays include Life Lessons with Susan Gail, What We Deserve, Opposite Attraction, Not the Same Old Story, and What’s the Buzz? With his brother and collaborator Paul Rigano, David wrote the musicals Awaken: a Sleeping Beauty musical, You Heard It Here, Get the Duchess, We Were Wild, The Holy Cows of Credence South Dakota, and Facing East (the latter two with collaborator Mark-Eugene Garcia). David has directed world premieres, workshops, and staged readings of Wild Women of Planet Wongo, Nutcracker! the musical, Save the Robots, All Star: the Best Broadway Musical, Me the People, and his own award-winning You Heard It Here. David and Paul won the 2017 NY Winterfest Award for Best Musical Score for their musical You Heard It Here, the 2018 Town Stages Fellowship to produce their musical talk-show Broadway On Deck, and the 2020 RAVE Theatre Social Distancing competition with their song “Screen to Screen,” performed virtually with 42 other people.
